MHA control room to be used for resolving complaints of drivers, transporters on passage of cargo

The 24×7 Control Room, set up by the Home Ministry to monitor the nationwide lockdown, will be used to quickly address complaints from drivers and transporters about the interstate movement of goods. The State of Entitlement says the 1930 Lockdown Control Room number of the Union Home Ministry (MHA) is available to drivers and transporters to make any complaints regarding the closure. The central government has decided to use the control room. For this purpose, officials of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways have been appointed.

The move is meant to accelerate the complaints and complaints of carriers, including freight vehicle drivers and empty trucks, for the interstate movement across the country during the lockdown. MHA has already mandated states and UTs to ensure the uninterrupted movement of trucks with or without goods.

Additionally, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has provided helpline number 1033 – for complaints relating to national highways.

Appointed officers from the MORTH in the MHA Control Room assist the transportation sector and drivers to resolve complaints and complaints. They also compile a daily report on such complaints. Cargo handling during lockdown is governed by MHA directives and guidelines.

It helps to resolve complaints of drivers and carriers about the interstate movement of the driver and cleaner between the freight vehicles and their accommodation and truck parking areas, including empty trucks. The statement said the system will address issues and barriers to moving goods in states and UTs during the lockdown.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a 21-day lockdown to implement the coronavirus pandemic from March 25. It was extended to May 3 and again to May 17.
